The Columbian approached me to create a short documentary about Diana Avalos Leos - who was awarded the First Citizen award for outstanding community service in Clark County Washington. The documentary contains several subjects who discuss the great values, bravery, and leadership that characterizes Diana Avalos Leos, and her commitment to her community.
We produced the video during the pandemic so filming traditional b-roll was impossible. Instead, we utilized time-lapse and archival photos to visualize Diana’s typical day, but in a non-traditional sense. I served as director, cinematographer, editor and animator on the project.
